Denny's sounded like an American diner type place and we tried to visit for
either breakfast or lunch. We ended up having lunch there.
We ordered BLT (bacon, lettuce tomatoes) sandwiches with chips.
The sandwiches arrived as toasted sandwiches and were pinned together, something we'd not seen in Britain (we need bigger sandwiches over here!). The sandwiches were filled generously and were tasty.
Both dishes came with a large pile of American fries, more reminiscent of dinners than lunches. Nevertheless, great value for money.
Our waitress was kind and helpful. She was busy tending to around three or four other tables besides ours but this didn't seem to affect her service.
She was one of the few people to genuinely thank us for the tip we left. Some waiters and waitresses say thanks in a "we expected this but thanks anyway" way but our waitress seemed genuinely grateful, which was nice to see.
The bill came to around $20 including tax.
We forgot to take restaurant photos and the only Denny's one we could find is in what looks like snow. With temperatures of at least 30° Celcius each day, we didn't see any snow!
