Aquatica is a water park operated by SeaWorld and can be found across from SeaWorld on International Drive in Orlando. It's similar to Wet 'n Wild in principle, although Aquatica is newer. We didn't end up going to Wet 'n Wild after visiting Aquatica as it didn't look as good as Aquatica did.

The park is designed to suit people of all ages and swimming abilities. You'll find wave pools, slides, raft rides and more!
The park is designed to suit people of all ages and swimming abilities. You'll find wave pools, slides, raft rides and more! As someone who dislikes rollercoaster's and who's swimming quickly turns into a doggy-paddle, I wasn't sure I'd like Aquatica but I was proved wrong. The rides were fast and exhilarating but we interspersed these with a spell in the wave machine pool or in the River Rapids.

What sets this park aside from rival attractions is the fact that one of the rides (Dolphin Plunge) passes through animal exhibitions. The speed of this ride though means that you can't see much as by the time you focus, you're out the end.

It's recommended you allow one full day at the park as there is lots to see and do, though it depends on how busy it is. We felt half a day was adequate for us but if you have kids or go later than 10am, you would be wise to allocate a full day because of the extra rides for kids and the queues for the main rides. Remember to take plenty of suntan lotion too :-)

Top Tip! We bought a pair of Orlando FlexTicket's from 365 Tickets and found them to be great value, especially as you can use them as often as you like. We would recommend you buy all your part tickets, the Orlando FlexTicket or the Orlando FlexTicket Plus from a company such as 365 Tickets a few weeks before you fly. You'll save time, hassle and money.
Several places sold park tickets on International Drive although the prices of these, whilst better than direct from the theme parks, were significantly more expensive than pre-booking on the Internet.
